Important fitting note:
To ensure the longevity of this part, the quality of assembly is very important.
Below the air box, there is a support bracket. This part is very important and must be installed. (bracket making the connection between the air box and the oil filter support).
This saves the flex flanges from having to support the full weight of the carburettors. Without this bracket, the spacer sustains significant stress and causes premature tearing of the spacer bonding rubber.
Recommendation:
- Install the flange on the motor with its gaskets. Tighten it permanently.
- Then install the carburettors and gaskets. Tighten everything.
- Install the air box with its seals and tighten the assembly nuts
- Install the bracket by fixing it definitively on the oil filter side, but leaving the part intended for adjustment on the air box side free.
- Slightly raise the air box + carburettor assembly, then tighten the adjustment screw under the air box.
This procedure is very important, otherwise the spacer may tear prematurely.
